At vBionic, we design upper and lower limb prosthetics as well as bionic prostheses, combining modern technology with passion and experience. Our goal is to restore full mobility and life comfort for patients of all ages, regardless of location or financial situation. Our range of upper limb prostheses includes a wide variety of solutions tailored to the individual needs and preferences of our patients. We divide them into three main categories: passive (cosmetic) prostheses, designed to visually replicate the lost limb; mechanical prostheses; and bionic prostheses, which combine direct muscle control with natural movement.

Passive prostheses focus on aesthetics, aiming to replicate the appearance and shape of the lost limb as faithfully as possible, which can be achieved through individual customization. In contrast, mechanical prostheses provide greater functionality, enabling the performance of everyday activities thanks to movable components such as the wrist and fingers.

For those seeking even greater precision and control over hand movements, we offer myoelectric and bionic prostheses. These technologically advanced solutions are battery-powered and operate based on myoelectric signals generated by the muscles, allowing for precise control of prosthetic movements. This approach not only expands the range of activities that can be performed but also brings the user experience closer to the natural sensation of having a limb.

The story of 15-year-old Piotrek

Piotrek is a 15-year-old boy who was born without a fully developed hand and part of the forearm on his left arm. He has been connected with vBionic from the very beginning—now for nine years. He was the first to test how the prototype of the “robotic hand,” created by Bartosz Rajewski and his team, worked. The first meeting with the prosthesis was very inspiring for Piotrek and his parents, as well as for the creators—it revealed the child’s needs and the technical possibilities available at the time.

The project of a modern, comfortable, and functional prosthesis grew together with Piotrek. After eight years, he was fitted with the Tolka Pro bionic prosthesis. He quickly and smoothly learned how to control the hand’s movements, proving that years of design and research had delivered the expected results.
