Innovative medical solutions: prosthetics, 3d scanning, and measurements

Tolka Connect app for controlling the TOLKA PRO bionic hand prosthesis

The Tolka Connect app is a dedicated mobile tool (available on iOS, among others) that integrates with TOLKA PRO bionic hand prostheses via Bluetooth.
Key features and applications of the app are listed below:

tolka connect

Learning through play

The app serves as a platform for learning how to control the prosthesis. Users can train the precision and strength of their muscle signals by playing an interactive game (e.g., controlling a rocket and avoiding meteors), replacing traditional, monotonous exercises

Signal visualization

Tolka Connect allows real-time monitoring of myoelectric (MYO) signals generated by the user’s muscles, making device calibration and learning to control the prosthesis easier.

Voice control

The app enables control of the prosthesis through voice commands, providing a key alternative for users who have difficulty generating stable muscle impulses

Personalization and control

Through the mobile interface, users can manage the prosthesis settings and monitor its status

orthoscan app

Our Orthoscan app for easy 3D scanning and object measurement

The OrthoScan app is a specialized mobile tool developed by vBionic for precise 3D scanning of a patient’s body parts (e.g., residual limb) to design a perfectly fitted prosthesis or orthosis.

With OrthoScan, the measurement process can be done remotely, significantly speeding up the production of personalized prosthetic components.
Key features and functionalities of the app are listed below

3D scanning using a smartphone

uses advanced image processing algorithms to convert a video recording (lasting about a minute) into an accurate digital model

High dimensional accuracy

it has been optimized for orthopedics and prosthetics, ensuring the precision required for prosthetic socket production

3D printing integration

the generated 3D models are uploaded to the orthoscan.app platform, where they can be downloaded and used in the design (CAD) and production process with 3D printers

Multi-language support

the interface is available in Polish, English, German, and Ukrainian

Technical requirements

the app is available on iOS devices (requires version 17.6 or later for the latest 2025 updates)

Custom 3D silicone components – safe and skin-contact certified

Thanks to our developed silicone product manufacturing technology, we can create components in any shape and color based on a 3D model. We use silicone certified safe for skin contact. need something? get in touch with us, and we will prepare a personalized quote for you

Precisely fitted prostheses based on 3D scans of the patient’s limb

All custom products are made based on a 3D scan of the patient’s limb. This allows precise measurement and exact replication of the limb’s shape, and the entire process can be completed entirely remotely. We no longer rely on plaster casts or even specialized scanners. The scan is performed using the easy-to-use OrthoScan mobile app.

Rapid prosthetic component production using 3D printing technology

Many components of our products are made using modern 3D printing technology. This allows us to quickly produce and deliver both prototypes and finished products to our clients. We also have flexibility in terms of geometry and colors, while generating less waste throughout the entire process.
